This tough little camera is drop proof from a height up to 1.5m and as all the components (including the lens unit) can endure temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius, the DMC-FT20 can even perform while you are snowboarding or skiing.

Enjoy the versatility of photo and video recording
In addition to capturing quality 16 megapixel still images, the DMC-FT20 can also record high definition video (1280 x 720p) in MP4 format, making it compatible with PCs or smartphones for editing and sharing. There is even a dedicated button that lets you instantly switch between photo and video recording without having to make any extra settings.

Boasting a newly developed 25mm ultra wide-angle lens, with a 4x Optical Zoom, the DMC-FT20’s optical performance won’t let you down. Intelligent Zoom even extends the 4x optical zoom to 8x digital equivalent, incorporating our Intelligent Resolution technology to maintain picture quality. In keeping with the camera’s rugged design, a folded optics system has been adopted in order to protect the lens unit from damage. The DMC-FT20 also features a 2.7-inch LCD with an anti-reflective coating to minimise glare and provide clear images no matter how bright it is outside.

When you are shooting on the move, the last thing you want to want to think about are the camera settings. With the DMC-FT20, you can enter iA (Intelligent Auto) mode and let the camera do all that hard work for you. Your pictures will certainly benefit from MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabiliser), AF Tracking, Intelligent ISO Control, Face Detection, Intelligent Scene Selector and Intelligent Exposure. All you have to do is be in the moment and then point and shoot.
