The Dick Smith B2B system allows you to do business with Dick Smith electronically. Our B2B capabilities extend to the exchange of transactional business documents through EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and webforms (a cost free web browser based solution). All Dick Smith B2B capabilities have been developed in line with Global Industry Standards and Industry Best Practice. As such, Dick Smith's preferred means of doing business is electronic and Trade Partners are encouraged to leverage our B2B capabilities for mutual benefit.
Trade Partners have two options, 'webforms' (Free online solution) and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) these are explained in more detail below.
When coming onboard electronically with Dick Smith there will be some changes to the transactional documents you are required to exchange. Refer to the table below for an outline of the documents you will be required to exchange.

'webforms' is ideal for Trade Partners who are yet to become EDI capable and a natural replacement for fax and email. 'webforms' is a new and exciting web based application which has been introduced FREE of CHARGE for all Dick Smiths Trade Partners. 'webforms' provides Trade Partners with an opportunity to trade electronically and enjoy similar benefits to those engaged in EDI with Dick Smith.
In addition to the benefits associated with EDI, 'webforms' provides:
- An alternative to the unreliable transmission of fax and email
- Traceability of transactional documents
- Increased security of key business information

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
Our B2B EDI Gateway enables the automatic exchange (2-way) of transactional business documents between Dick Smith and Trade Partners. EDI is provided by accredited third party Value Added Network Providers (VANS). There is usually a charge from the VANs for setting this service up. The current EDI message set employed by Dick Smith is derived from EANCOM2002 standard.
